It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home.

A Prayer for Today
Even though I clutch my blanket
and growl when the alarm rings each morning,
Thank You, Lord, that I can hear.

Even though I keep my eyes tightly closed
against the morning light as long as possible,
Thank You, Lord, that I can see.
There are many who are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off
the physical effort of rising,
Thank You, Lord, that I have the strength to rise.
There are many who are bedfast.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic,
when socks are lost,
toast is burned,
tempers are short.
Thank You, Lord, for my family.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the
pictures in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced.
Thank You, Lord, for the food we have.
There are so many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job is often monotonous,
Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity to work.
There are many who have no Job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day,
and wish my circumstances were not quite so modest,
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of life

TODAY'S PROVERB

Wisdom is the principal thing;
therefore get wisdom
Proverbs 4:7

GOOD MORNING !

We all need to work at having wisdom. We have to learn how to listen to others, learn to trust God and seek Him, learn to broaden our minds, learn to educate ourselves in all areas of our lives

All men want to be happy. They do not all agree on what brings the greatest happiness, but they do all long to have it. We should bend all our efforts to become wiser tomorrow than we are today. The reason that getting wisdom is important is that it is the practical knowledge by which we gain this true and lasting happiness. By means of wisdom you can make your way into a hope-filled future

I hope as I grow older I can be wise. Here lately I see the need to really get out there and seek wisdom. I seem to need it more and more.

Blessing for Today

May the blessing of light be upon you,
Light on the outside,
Light on the inside.
With God's sunlight shining on you,
May your heart glow with warmth,
Like a turf fire that welcomes
friends and strangers alike.
May the light of the Lord
shine from your eyes,
Like a candle in the window,
Welcoming the weary traveler

A beautiful entry as always!! We each find our wisdom in different ways, it's where we look that makes the difference.
