MEMORIAL DAY

If I Knew

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in tighter
and pray the lord your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I'd see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and come back for just one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise
I'd videotape each action and word,
so I could play them back day by day.

If I knew it would be the last time
I could spare an extra minute or two,
to stop and say "I love you"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day.
Well, I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can just let this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second
chance to make everything right.

There will always be another day
to say our "I love you"
certainly there's another chance
to say "anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised
to anyone young or old alike,
and today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

Always hold them near, and take time to say
"I'm sorry!" "Please forgive me!" "Thank you!" "It's ok!"
and if tomorrow never comes
you'll have no regrets about today.

PRAYER

Whatever you ask for in prayer Believe that you have received it and it will be yours

Mark 11:24

Eternal Father
whose infinite love watches
in wisdom over each day
of my life,
grant me the light
to see
in sorrow
as in joy,
in trial
as in peace,
in uncertainty
as in confidence,
the way Your Divine Providence
has marked out for me.
Grant me a strong faith
and trust so pleasing to You,
and I will walk
in darkness
as in light,
holding Your hand.
And finding in all
I receive from Your bounty

"that all things
work together for good,
for those who love You.

Take some time today to remember experiences of answered prayer.
Talk to God about your needs and your hopes and your dreams. Put
the results totally in his hand - but don't be afraid to

ASK BIG!
BELIEVE BIG!

HOPE BIG!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Heaven lit up with His mighty presence, As all the Angels looked
down, Today the Lord was placing the jewels, In all the mother's
crowns.

As He held up a golden crown, As all the mother's looked on, He said
in His gentle voice, "I just want to explain each stone".

He held the first gem in His hand But the radiance couldn't match His
own. For He was the light of Heaven, Reflecting off each of the stones.

"The first gem," He said, "is an emerald, And it's for endurance
alone, For all the nights you waited up. For your children to come home.

For all the nights by their bedside, You stayed till the fever went
down, For nursing every little wound, I add this emerald to your crown."

"A ruby, I'll place by the emerald, For leading your child in the
right way, For if you hadn't taught them about me, They wouldn't be
here with you today.

For always being right there, Thru all life's important events, I
give you a sapphire stone, For the time and love you spent."

"For untying the strings that held them, When they grew up and left
home, I give you this one for courage."
Then the Lord added an amethyst stone.

"I'll place a stone of garnet," He said, "For all the times you spent
on your knees, When you asked Me to take care of your children, And
them for having faith in Me."

"I have a pearl for every little sacrifice, That you made without
them knowing, For all the times you went without, To keep them happy,
healthy, and growing."

"And last of all I have a diamond, The greatest of all gems, For
those mother's who lost their children, When they came home to heaven
before them."

"This is the most precious sacrifice, So I give the most precious
stone, For I know just how you felt, I too lost a child of my own."

After the Lord placed the last jewel in, He said, "Heaven is now
complete, For every mother has her crown of jewels, And all her
children are at her feet."

Did you ever meet a mother who's complained that her child phoned her too often? Me neither.

When we think of our mothers,
We draw nearer to God above,
For only God in His greatness
Could fashion a mother's love.

My Study Notes: Chapter 25 TO LIVE IS CHRIST

God did extraordinary miracles through Paul

Acts 19: 11

My Study Notes: Chapter 25 – TO LIVE IS CHRIST

Acts 19: 1-23

On Paul’s next stop God revealed his powers in extraordinary ways.

Acts 19 tells of the ministry in Ephesus. Paul meets an interesting group of believers. They had received the baptism of John, but did not know about the Holy Spirit.

Paul told them about Christ and they received the Holy Spirit.

He preached in the synagogue 3 months until he received opposition. He then moved to a lecture hall where he concentrated on discipling believers so that in the end all of the Jews and Greeks in the province of Asia heard the Word of the Lord.

Jews and Gentiles alike were in awe of the happenings around them and held the name of Jesus in high honor. The early church was learning concepts completely new to them.

God made Himself and His works obvious in Ephesus by the following ways:

1. God made his Holy spirit obvious. He knew the concept of the Holy Spirit would be difficult to understand.

2. God made obvious his blessings on discipleship. A few well trained people in the Lord’s service can be more effective than those that have not been.

3. God made his ambassador obvious. He drew attention to Paul because He know Paul would draw attention to Him.

4. God made His power over the occult obvious. Ephesus had been renown for its magical incantations. God got their attention by surpassing anything they’d ever seen.

5. God made true repentance obvious. He got their attention by supernatural phenomena . He wanted their attention just as he wants ours so that He can take us beyond anything we’ve ever seen.

Paul gave his heart and strength to his ministry.

He choose to follow the will of God.

May our dear Lord always be our first priority - - Our heart’s desire.
